Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?

I do not accept insurance, but I am happy to provide you with a superbill so that you can request reimbursement from your insurance provider.

Please be sure to check with your insurance about telehealth reimbursement. If you choose to seek reimbursement from your insurance, they may require you release information about diagnosis and/or treatment goals in order to pay.

How much do you charge?

My full fee is $225 for 50 minute sessions and $335 for 75 minute sessions.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

I do offer some sliding scale slots. If you are financially impacted by covid or other financial barriers and would like to be considered for a sliding scale slot, please let me know and we can discuss available options.

How long will I be in therapy?

Excellent question! That largely depends on what your needs are. I do not believe in a “cookie cutter” approach. You are a unique individual and the work we do together will be tailored to your individual needs. Some people come to me for “tune ups” and stay for only a few meetings. Others have long standing patterns that they want to dig into, unravel, and change. Sometimes that takes a long time. Your therapy journey will be determined by your personal goals.

Where is your office located?

My practice is entirely virtual! All of our sessions will be done using telehealth technology.

While I am physically located in Oakland, I am licensed to help people anywhere in California. Having a virtual office allows me to reach folks who may not otherwise have access to quality service.

How does telehealth work?

I provide services to you from the comfort of your home using a confidential, HIPAA compliant internet platform. I will provide you the link to my virtual office after you complete the informed consent for treatment through my patient portal. Our virtual sessions can include video and audio, or can be strictly telephone if that better meets your needs.
